Isabelle Weir
About
Isabelle Weir is a painter working between the UK and Florence. Trained in a classical 19th-century tradition at the Florence Academy of Art, she now teaches there as a principal instructor. Her practice is continually shaped by a dialogue with painters of the past and a commitment to working from life, using traditional techniques and materials to create work rooted in tradition yet resonant with a contemporary sensibility.
